About the Scientific Society of German-speaking Environmental and Resource Economists

The Scientific Society of German-speaking Environmental and Resource Economists is a subgroup of the Association of German-speaking Economists which emerged from a meeting in 1992 and was officially established in 1993. The first official meeting took place in Ladenburg on April, 29-30, 1994.

Membership requires membership in the Association of German-speaking Economists, a proposal by a current member of the Society, an invitation and approval of the current members after a scientific presentation.

The current President is Prof. Stefan Baumgärtner, University of Freiburg, Germany.
